The leatherwork archive
2025
Where it expanded.
A year of pushing scale and detail.
I began working with metallic vegetable-tanned leather, adding a new dimension to my pieces. Hand-punched decorative work became part of my designs, bringing more depth and character.
This year also brought meaningful connections. Through trade and collaboration, I met Mikeal from Full Heart Forge. What started as a trade became a friendship.
Commissions grew in size and ambition. The iPad cover became the largest piece I had made at the time, fully stitched with my overcross technique.
I ended the year returning to something personal: crafting gifts for family and covering my Barry King maul in leather, turning even my tools into something that carries my mark.
This year was about scale, detail, and connection.
